Event hunting? You’re in for a huge week. We’re going to be celebrating Jordan’s Independence Day and welcome in Ramadan! So suffice it to say, there’s a lot going on in the last minutes before we settle in and calm things down for the coming month. If you want to get any partying energy out of your system, this list is for you. Plus, we’ve got a few things on here to stimulate your mind and keep you busy for the next 30 days. Independence Day Party @ Roman Amphitheater

Celebrate Jordan’s Independence Day this year with a classic Jordanian performance! The Greater Amman Municipality is bringing Omar Al Abdallat (a.k.a. the voice of Jordan) to perform this Wednesday at the Roman Amphitheater! The show starts at 7:00 p.m. and is sure to be an amazing time. So grab your family and friends, wear your kufiya and bring that contagiously patriotic Jordanian spirit to show Jordan some love!

Wadi Al-Jazara: Independence Day Hike @ Backpackers JO 

Friday, May 26 @ 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. 

What better way to celebrate your country than hiking through it? This Friday, Backpackers JO are hiking through Wadi Al-Jazara in honor of Jordan’s Independence Day! Wadi Al-Jazara is home to one of Jordan’s most beautiful canyons. It’s an easy-medium level hike which means anyone can join in. It’s a 3 km hike with 4 rappels up to 28m! Perfectly suited for a Friday out, and appreciating the natural beauty of this country. Check out the page for all the necessary information and prep!
