Kenny Glasgow and Akladios @ CLSTR

Amman’s first pop-up club concept is coming to an end, and you won’t want to miss their closing weekend with Kenny Glasgow and Akladios, Thursday, May 18th. CLSTR is closing their doors with a bang, the same doors that open up at 9:30 p.m. and take those who get there first. BAB Music Fest 3 @ The Dome

Bands Across Borders is bringing your their 3rd volume of their epic indie festival right here in the heart of the Kingdom! This full day event is going to feature the sickest of bands in the Middle East, including; Aziz Maraka, Sharmoofers, Autostrad and Qabeela. There will be delicious food, the beer is exclusively provided by the one and only AMSTEL, and you’re guaranteed to have a world of fun! 432 Hz: An immersive furniture exhibition @ Zara Centre
May 14
 – 25 @ 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Artist and furniture designer Basel Naouri is featuring 25 of his modern yet rugged original furniture designs in the 432 Hz exhibition, with a soundtrack to the event of tracks composed from the sounds of his work! This multi-sensory exhibition will run until May 25th, from 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and items are limited edition and selling fast (hint, hint).

This week, talks by two prominent creators in Jordan will contribute to this already dynamic exhibition. Renowned Architect Ammar Khammash of Khammash Architects will be discussing new trends and movements in the Jordanian youth generation, and the importance of investing in creativity. Khammash will address “the way we deal with materials/space/intangible compositions, including order, sound, and light; taking human senses into new and previously unvisited territories”, on Tuesday May 17 at 7:00 p.m.. Feras Takriti, founder of The Color Experiment, will give a talk about “anticipating new mediums in communication: Exploring the hybrids of experience design and technology building on landscapes of emotions and belief” on Saturday, May 20 at 7:00 p.m.. Red Bull BC One Jordan Cypher 2017 @ CLSTR

Head on over to CLSTR this Friday for something other than clubbing. The legacy continues with the world’s premier B-Boying competition in Jordan hosted by no other than MC Thaer! Red Bull BC One is at it again with a thrilling show of explosive moves, crazy energy and a lot of breaking. Jordan’s top B-Boys will battle it out in a showcase of their best moves and techniques, all in pursuit of the coveted championship title! Tempo Dance Academy is preparing for their Ramadan hibernation with a “bomb twist” party! This lethal battle between team Salsa and team Hip Hop is set to be explosive. Looking for a little fiesta? Luis & the Amigos is a Spanish-Arab cover band formed in Amman, Jordan that will playing live at Murphy’s this Tuesday! Lead vocalist Luis Llamas heads the five-member band, comprised of Rami Khoury (electric guitar), Sa’ad Hudairi (guitar), Baha Lahham (drums, backing vocals) and Sufian Al Said (bass guitar). Playing a fusion of music genres, Luis’s husky vocals harmonize beautifully with his “amigos'” rhythmic beats. Why not take advantage and do a little something different mid-week?
