432 Hz: An immersive furniture exhibition @ Zara Centre
May 12 @ 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
/ May 13 – 25 @ 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

We all know the impression a great piece of furniture can make. You know what we’re talking about… something catches your eye and you can’t help but stop and stare. Well, you’ll be doing a lot of stopping and staring at 432 Hz. Artist and furniture designer Basel Naouri is launching his independent furniture line, and it’s going to be something to remember. Basel will feature 25 of his modern yet rugged original furniture designs, highlighting the versatility and raw beauty of steel and reclaimed wood that’s been collected from old homes, schools and other structures around the Kingdom. And the twist? The soundtrack to the event is actually a set of tracks composed from the sounds of hammering, welding, and cutting recorded while working with a local blacksmith and carpenter to actualize his designs, fused into an electronic, synthesized sound! This multi-sensory exhibition will take you on a journey, bringing you closer to the creation of these pieces, bringing them to life. To find out more about Basel and his work, both as a designer and music producer, as well as all the cool happenings with the event, check out the page here. Intrigued enough? We are, but just in case that’s not enough, opening night will include wine and cheese to complete your sensory adventure.
